There are many great second hand furniture schemes and charity shops that offer reasonably priced furniture, but for many, even this is out of reach.
The newly housed ex-rough sleeper, someone starting a new life free from domestic abuse, the recently seperated, first time rentees, new mums, or simply someone on a very low income, may not be able to pay for household items let alone the delivery charge.
We collect excellent condition, pre-loved furniture and small household items and arrange for them to be given – and delivered – for free to those who need them.
If you have good quality furniture, or small household items (kettles, toasters, fridges etc) that are in good working order but are no longer required, please get in touch.
Ideally, you will be able to bring them to our Loft premises but we can also arrange to collect from you.
Crockery and Utensils
People starting with nothing really have.. nothing!
If you have unwanted dinner services, random items of decent crockery, spare cutlery or kitchen utensils, then we can find a good home for them.
We would also love great condition items such as tea towels, table cloths etc – the small touches that can make somewhere feel like a home.
Making It Home
We want to take our project further, and truly help people to turn their new place into home. A place of safety, comfort and delight.
We are looking for donations of unused wallpaper, paint as well as (ideally new) paint brushes, rollers and trays.
Again, it is the little things, like being able to paint a wall, that those who are struggling are unable to do. When money is tight, decorating is a luxury.
If you can help, we’d love to hear from you.
